TRT Testing Kit

£39.99

  • Fast test kit delivery
  • Easy at home fingerprick test
  • Accredited lab testing
  • Advanced Results Report

This at-home finger-prick blood test is the essential first step for any man suspecting they may be suffering from low testosterone.

By analysing four critical biomarkers: Total Testosterone, Free Testosterone, Albumin, and Sex-Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) – this kit provides a complete clinical picture of your hormonal health. While Total Testosterone gives an overview, measuring SHBG and Albumin allows us to calculate your ‘Free’ Testosterone, which is the biologically active hormone actually available for your body to use.

This diagnostic kit serves as the foundation for your TRT treatment journey.

Upon receiving your results from our UKAS-certified laboratory, you will move into a specialist consultation phase. One of our Pharmacist Independent Prescribers will review your data to determine if you are a candidate for testosterone replacement therapy.

If your levels confirm a deficiency, we will work with you to develop a bespoke, pharmacist-led TRT treatment plan, ensuring your transition to hormonal balance is safe, monitored, and clinically sound.

What’s Tested?

  • Total Testosterone: The overall amount of testosterone in your bloodstream.
  • Free Testosterone: The active portion of testosterone that is not bound to proteins.
  • Albumin: A protein that carries hormones and helps calculate your active testosterone levels.
  • SHBG: A protein that regulates how much testosterone is available for your body to use.

What’s Included?

The kit contains everything you need for a professional-grade sample collection:

  • Complete Collection Kit: 2x sterile lancets, 1x blood collection vial, alcohol wipes, and plasters.
  • Free Postage: A pre-paid returns label to send your sample directly to our UKAS-certified laboratory.
  • Expert Review: Full laboratory analysis followed by a clinical review.
  • Pharmacist Follow-up: A consultation with a Pharmacist Prescriber to discuss your results and establish your TRT treatment plan.

Initial test for low testosterone diagnosis

Testosterone TRT refers to Testosterone Replacement Therapy. It is a treatment designed to raise low testosterone levels back into a normal healthy range. TRT is typically prescribed for men experiencing symptoms of low testosterone such as tiredness reduced strength low mood decreased libido or difficulty concentrating. Therapy can be delivered through injections gels patches or pellets depending on the treatment plan.

Join thousands of men taking control of their health with Crest Pharmacy. This simple at-home finger-prick blood test measures your Total and Free Testosterone levels, helping you understand whether low testosterone may be affecting you.

Take the first step towards finding out if you are suitable for TRT treatment.

Have a question about testosterone testing? We're here to help.

If you can't find the answer you're looking for, our clinical team is always on hand to provide expert guidance via a quick phone call or in-store chat. We regularly update these questions to ensure you have the most current information regarding our evolving range of diagnostic services and health products.

For the most accurate results, you must collect your sample before 10:00 am. Testosterone levels are at their highest in the morning and naturally fluctuate throughout the day. Taking the sample early ensures we get a true representation of your peak hormonal output.

While not strictly required for a standalone testosterone test, we recommend taking the sample on an empty stomach (water only) to avoid any dietary interference with your protein levels (Albumin), which are used to calculate your Free Testosterone.

The kit includes two lancets just in case. To help the blood flow, we recommend staying very well hydrated the day before, taking the test after a warm shower, and gently swinging your arm to increase circulation before pricking your finger.

Once you post your sample using the pre-paid envelope, it is fast-tracked to our UKAS-certified laboratory. You will typically receive your results and a digital report via your secure online dashboard within 48 to 72 hours of the lab receiving the sample.

This is where the Crest Pharmacy service differs from standard tests. If your results indicate a deficiency, you will be invited for a consultation with our Pharmacist Independent Prescriber. They will review your symptoms alongside your data to confirm if you are suitable for a bespoke TRT treatment plan.

Clinical guidelines usually require two separate blood tests confirming low levels before starting treatment. This initial test is the "screening" phase; if it shows low levels, our pharmacist will guide you on the next steps to confirm the diagnosis and begin your plan.

Yes. We understand that hormonal health is a private matter. Your kit will arrive in plain, unbranded packaging that does not mention "Testosterone" or "TRT" on the outside.

Absolutely. You are not just buying a test kit; you are accessing a clinical service. Our pharmacy team and prescribing specialists are available to discuss any concerns you have about your results or the potential treatment pathways.
