What is Losec MUPS?

How Does Losec MUPS Work?

Heartburn is common when eating some foods. However, other people suffer from acidity often. This condition is known as gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD).  Losec MUPS is a protein pump inhibitor. It works by suppressing the activity of proton pumps, the proteins that produce acids in the stomach. This results in less acid, relieving patients of gas-like symptoms and acid reflux.

Directions

Losec MUPS Directions

  • Adults should take 20 mg capsules once a day.
  • Take this medicine at around the same time daily.
  • The drug can be mixed with a drink like water or juice. 
  • Rinse the glass with some water and drink from it again to consume all the product.

The active ingredient contained in Losec MUPS is Omeprazole 20mg. Losec MUPS also contains the following inactive ingredients: Cellulose microcrystalline, glycerol monostearate 40-55, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid- ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1) dispersion 30%, sugar spheres, synthetic paraffin (NF), macrogol (polyethene glycol 6000), polysorbate 80, crospovidone, sodium hydroxide, sodium stearyl fumarate, talc, triethyl citrate, iron oxide E172, titanium dioxide (E171).
