About the annual flu jab
The flu vaccine helps protect you against the strains of influenza expected to circulate each winter. Because flu viruses change from year to year, a new vaccine is produced each season, which is why an annual jab is recommended. Most people have their vaccination in the autumn, ideally between September and early December, before flu is at its peak, but it is still worthwhile later in the winter.
The process is simple: you book an appointment, our pharmacist asks a few quick questions to check the vaccine is suitable for you, and the injection is given into your upper arm. The whole visit usually takes around 10 to 15 minutes, and your GP record is updated afterwards.
